The name should say it all. :) This woman can write about vampires and fairies and actually get it right. No fluff here. Laurell's vamps and fairies know how to bite, know how to love, and know how to entertain. If you are into magic and fairies read Merry Gentry series, if you are into vampires do not miss Anita Blake, who is becoming a tv series with a possible movie coming.
His Wither series is my favorite. Excellent books!
The Summoner and subsequent novels are amazing. Right up there with LOTR and Wizard's Frist Rule

The debuting author's work is absolutely amazing. I HIGHLY recommend his first work The Name of the Wind. More is on the way as well. Exceptional Author here. Now if we can just get him to get the second one out we might be in business.
She can write about magic and passion like you would not believe! She's going right next to Laurell on my book shelf, the spot of the elite! Read her book, you will not regret it. Even the love scenes are done with excellent taste. DO NOT MISS HER!
